Practice Areas

I advise and represent clients in the areas below. In every matter I first establish the legal position and the client’s objective, and then set out the route, the timetable and the risks in concrete terms.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution

In commercial, contractual and private-law disputes I build the case strategy from the outset: which claim rests on which evidence, which procedure applies and which step is taken at which stage. I assess notice, negotiation and settlement options before litigation, and handle proceedings, objections, appeal and cassation. Representation at hearings, evidence management, expert proceedings and post-judgment enforcement are part of the same work.

Commercial & Corporate Law

I approach companies’ legal needs preventively: formation and corporate documentation, partnership structure and share transfers, general assembly and management processes, and the legal framework of commercial relationships. Identifying risk before a dispute arises, reviewing business models and contract chains, and organising internal legal workflows are central to this work. Termination of partnerships, liquidation and shareholding disputes are handled within the same scope.

Contracts

Drafting, review, negotiation and revision of contracts, from commercial, service and supply agreements to confidentiality, partnership and licensing arrangements. The purpose is to keep the agreement aligned with the commercial reality and to make it predictable, in advance, which party would be right on which point if a dispute arises. Liability limits, penalties, termination and dispute-resolution clauses are assessed separately, and foreign-language contracts are aligned with Turkish law.

Arbitration & ADR

Depending on the nature of the dispute I assess out-of-court options such as arbitration, mediation and negotiation, and set out concretely which route is preferable in terms of time, cost and outcome. Drafting arbitration clauses, jurisdictional objections, presentation of evidence and enforcement of arbitral awards are part of this work. Domestic and international arbitrations — including matters involving public entities — are managed end to end, together with written advocacy.

Construction & Works Contracts

FIDIC and works contracts, public tenders, provisional and final acceptance, defective performance, delay and additional-work claims are the main subjects here. Because technical and legal assessment are intertwined in construction disputes, evidence and fact-finding begin at the earliest stage; site inspection, expert examination and technical reports are run together with the legal strategy. Advice and representation cover every stage from contract formation to final accounting.

Immigration & Foreigners Law

In Türkiye I work on immigration and foreigners’ law: residence permits (short-term, family, student, long-term), work permit and work permit exemption applications, the legal status of foreigners in Türkiye, naturalisation applications and acquisition of Turkish citizenship. Preparing administrative filings, corresponding with the authorities, objecting to refusal decisions and following administrative court proceedings form the core of this work. Advice and representation are also provided in deportation matters (administrative detention and removal decisions), international protection and family reunification.

Enforcement & Debt Recovery

The first step in debt recovery is a realistic assessment of collectability and of the debtor’s assets. Initiating and pursuing enforcement proceedings, objections and their removal, negative declaratory and restitution actions, attachment and sale procedures form the core of this work. Pre-action notices, security and restructuring options are also assessed.

Criminal Law

Defence from the investigation stage onwards: statements and interrogations, detention reviews, file review and evidence assessment, defence during prosecution, appeal and cassation. In criminal matters, acting quickly at the first stage is essential where time limits are decisive.
